Franklin County Jail & Sheriff’s Office Addition
Pasco, Washington / 2014
Lombard Conrad Architects worked together with Franklin County on the remodel and expansion of their existing jail and Sheriff’s Office. A detailed architectural program was developed based upon input from jail, sheriff’s staff, and the county operations staff. At the end of the planning stage, in August of 2011, Lombard Conrad presented the conceptual plans, along with a detailed cost estimate for approval.
A Sales Tax Initiative was passed in November of 2011 for the remodel and expansion of the existing jail includes a 208 bed addition for male inmates. This addition includes remodel work which will return the existing jail to 99 maximum security beds, with a work release area of 38 additional beds. Also included in the design are new kitchen and laundry facilities.
