AGC Office Building
Boise, Idaho / 2008
The AGC Office building is designed to meet Associated General Contractors’ current requirements, as well as future expansion needs. The additional space will be leased until the AGC needs space for expansion.
The AGC will occupy the majority of the first floor with space for offices, plan-processing and conference space. In addition to these functions, one of the premier amenities is a large classroom conference area.
For additional flexibility, a motorized partition wall divides the conference room for smaller functions. An exterior patio is accessible from both sides for catered events. A staging area is provided with access to indoor and outdoor events.
The exterior of the building incorporates pre-cast panels, profile metal siding, aluminum panels, and a window wall system with sun-screening devices. Materials are used in such a way as to showcase the construction industry, with exposed finishes and connections. The interior is open in many places to expose the structure and HVAC systems. This facility is the perfect blend of functionality and unique use of materials in a LEED-Accredited building.
