Cathedral of the Rockies – Amity Campus Expansion

The Amity Campus Expansion for the Cathedral of the Rockies is the first phase of a multi-phased expansion of the original facility constructed in the early 1980’s. The new 7,000 square foot sanctuary with seating for 300 pays homage to the existing contemporary architecture of the original facility. Future phases will connect the two free-standing buildings.
The new facility contains a cozy entry/narthex gather space with casual café style seating and abundant natural daylight, creating an indoor/outdoor connection to the surrounding campus.
The textural floor and soothing pallet allow for a calming space of reflection and prayer, while stepped ceiling in the sanctuary creates visual interest and acoustic control of the space.
