Architect I-II
Position Overview:
The Architect I-II is responsible for contributing to the technical design and execution of major projects, ensuring client goals are met through innovative and practical solutions. This role includes architectural consultation, project coordination, and collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams. The Architect I-II applies advanced architectural concepts, develops design solutions, and supports the delivery of projects through all phases, from concept to completion. This position may include mentoring less experienced team members and guiding technical processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in all phases of project design and development, including conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and design teams to understand project goals and requirements.
- Contribute to project scheduling, budgeting, and resource management to meet deadlines and budgetary constraints.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior staff and emerging professionals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Continuously support improvements to company processes, workflows, and culture.
Qualifications:
- Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch from an NAAB accredited program).
- Architectural license (or ability to obtain licensure in Idaho through reciprocity).
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in the architecture industry.
- Proficiency in design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
- Strong design and technical skills, with a solid understanding of building systems, materials, and construction techniques.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas effectively.
- Proven ability to lead and manage project teams.
- Knowledge of current industry trends, codes, and regulations.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with additional design tools or visualization software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape, Lumion).
- Experience working on complex or large-scale projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative environment.
