Morrison Center Ovation Lounge

In 2022, the Morrison Center engaged Lombard Conrad to reimagine an underutilized space and transform it into a marketable donor lounge. While the Morrison Center had a dedicated base of supporters, it lacked meaningful ways to enhance their donor experience. They envisioned a more formal space to host groups before and after major events and Broadway performances. The room identified for this transformation had originally been intended for formal use but had gradually become an improvised office and storage area.

As a longtime supporter and patron of the Morrison Center, Lombard Conrad was invited to help bring this vision to life. Our design team collaborated closely with stakeholders to develop a comprehensive wish list, translating those ideas into a detailed program and ultimately a fully rendered design. The result: a versatile, elegant donor lounge that would elevate the overall guest experience while creating a new avenue for fundraising. Inspired by the design, the Morrison Center quickly raised funds and returned to Lombard Conrad to bring the project to completion.

The resulting Ovation Lounge immediately drew interest, with guests making spontaneous donations to gain access. Featuring sophisticated finishes and full furnishings, the lounge serves multiple functions, including daytime meetings, while preserving and enhancing the space’s original architectural character.
