Katherine Flume

Marketing & Business Development Director

Katherine’s ninth-grade biology teacher once told her she was a critical thinker. It’s a compliment she never forgot.

Today, Katherine is a strategic marketing and business development leader who combines analytical thinking with creative problem-solving to help advance Lombard/Conrad’s mission of enriching and inspiring the human spirit through public architecture. She began her career as a publicist in Denver (ask her about her 24-hour press tour with Bradley Cooper), then followed her instincts – and her Northwest spirit – into leadership roles with prominent Idaho nonprofits, a creative marketing agency, and ultimately Lombard/Conrad. She has a knack for turning complex ideas into compelling stories, building meaningful connections, and creating strategies that drive measurable results.

As a Shareholder, Katherine helps shape the firm’s brand, reputation, and long-term growth while championing a culture that empowers people to do their best work. She believes the best marketing isn’t about selling architecture, it’s about earning trust and demonstrating the lasting impact thoughtful design has on the communities it serves.

Looking back, her biology teacher got it right. What he couldn’t have known was that Katherine’s greatest strength would become bringing people together around a shared vision, inspiring teams to do meaningful work, and helping tell the stories that shape the future of public architecture.
