Claire Trout

“Non-traditional” is how Claire describes her journey to architecture. From a software trainer at a global tech behemoth to a project manager with a local contractor, she developed a diverse skillset early on. But something was missing…something beyond what her career had provided to date, something creative. She embarked on an education in architecture, first at the University of Idaho then at the prestigious SCI-Arc (Southern California Institute of Architecture) to earn her masters. During the latter academic stint, Claire worked with a reputable LA interior designer providing technical and aesthetic design support.

As a result of all her unique career and education experiences to date (and some seriously ambitious international travel), Claire now approaches design through a powerful blend of storytelling, creativity, and problem-solving. She’s passionate about the emotional impact of design and how spaces shape the way we live and connect. This passion is driving her to earn licensure in the coming year and continue to grow and evolve so she can one day empower the next generation of designers.
