“I understand that architecture may not solve all the world problems, but I believe it’s a good place to start. At its core, I believe in the potential of people, and architecture can create those spaces for people. I want to be part of the solution.”
Not every college graduate is able to articulate their purpose with this level of articulation and determination. For Asia, it’s a philosophy that has been developing for years. While at the University of Idaho, she did much more than traditional architecture studies. She took advantage of every opportunity she could to broaden her perspective on not only the buildings of our world, but the world itself. She helped lead the redesign of an historic chamber of commerce and visitor center in the core of her college town (won many awards), founded the Students of Design campus club (also won some awards), and studied abroad in Malaysia and Singapore.
And she’s just getting started.
