Alexis Townsend
Principal / President
Alexis’ passion for architecture began as a young girl. Today, that passion drives her to design incredible public places that significantly impact the lives of people. She has led team on a multitude of projects for public agencies and non-profit organizations, proving her expertise across multiple sectors including healthcare, civil service, and higher education. Well-known for her impassioned approach to detail, Alexis consistently shows up as a fearless advocate for her clients and the people they serve.
At Lombard/Conrad, Alexis works every day to create a progressive, safe, and creative culture that puts people first. If you ask her, this is some of the most important work she’s done to date. As the firm’s first female Partner and President, she continuously drives efforts to refocus and reinvigorate our company. She leads with compassionate accountability, inclusivity, and a dedication to gender balance in our industry. She believes that when women rise, we all rise. That a more diverse team always results in better, richer outcomes for all.
Outside of work, Alexis doesn’t slow down much. Her three daughters—including a set of twins—are her biggest hobby (and skiing buddies).
